Customizing your community profile A crucial but sometimes overlooked part of getting started in Network VIP is customizing your profile. It helps us and the rest of Network VIP get to know you. Plus, we have new badges and ranks you can earn. This means people can check your profile to see your rank and what you’ve been up to. A quick guide to customizing your profileYour profile can be accessed by hovering over your profile picture icon in the right and clicking “my profile”. If you are logged in you should also be able to access your profile by clicking this link. Click edit and fill out the fields below. Add a profile picture:  Click edit, and add an image.  Add your company:  with your organization.  Fill out your job title:  If you’re self employed or a student feel free to add that there.  Add a bio:  Write a couple lines about yourself. Whether your new or coming from our legacy Network VIP Slack channel it’s great to make sure your notification settings are customized to your preferences. To customize your notifications:1. Click on your profile2. Click edit and click on the notifications tab  Choose your settings and click “save changes”!  You should also be able to go straight to your notification settings using this link: https://community.bluecatnetworks.com/settings/notifications Make sure you subscribe to any categories you want to get notifications for! While the subscriptions notification is default “on” you’ll still need to subscribe to individual categories to get notified.

How and when to contact BlueCat SupportNetwork VIP is a great resource if you’re looking to get advice from fellow BlueCat users or advice from fellow industry professionals. We encourage you to jump in start asking questions and connecting with all our awesome Network VIP members. Our members (“NVIP’s” as we like to call them) are usually quick to respond, eager to share their thoughts, and can often offer their help. However, we want to call out that not every post is something that Network VIP is equipped to help you with.
