A quick guide to note some of the differences between ranks and badges in Network VIP!

Ranks 

Ranks accrue over time based on your depth and variety of engagement on the Community indicating the value you have brought to the Community over time. 

Ranks are automatic and denoted by the icons against your profile pic. 

You can also check your position on the community leaderboard 

Badges 

The Badges you spot in the pop-out while hovering over the user profile pics or on users' profiles are tailored for the various initiatives the user participates in on the Community. Some badges are earned automatically by completing certain actions or milestones. However, many are manually assigned by the Community team.

Initiatives like certifications, betas, special contributions and other specific activities, as well as exclusive group membership, can all be identified by badges.

Changes to the badging and ranking system are subject to change at moderator discretion! We may decide to add or change the mechanics of ranking and badging if we feel its needed to protect or improve overall community health.
