Introducing LiveNX & LiveWire 25.2: Advancing Network Observability with Intelligence and Control
As today’s networks scale across hybrid, multi-cloud, and on-prem environments, network teams need more than just visibility—they need intelligence that accelerates resolution, ensures performance, and reduces risk.
With the 25.2 release of LiveNX and LiveWire, we’re delivering powerful new capabilities that reinforce LiveAction’s leadership in network observability and performance monitoring. This release brings intelligent device monitoring, expanded cloud visibility, forensic-grade packet capture, and enhanced integration across our observability portfolio—all aimed at helping teams move faster, resolve smarter, and scale seamlessly.
1. Device Monitoring
LiveNX 25.2 introduces Device Monitoring, delivering deep visibility into devices across your hybrid network environment—whether wireless, load balancers, data center switches, or remote locations.
- Vendor-agnostic insights into health, and behavior of network devices
- Rapid deployment and activation, with YAML overrides for support of new devices.
Why it matters: Accelerate MTTR, reduce false alarms, and proactively resolve issues—all from a single pane of glass.
2. Cloud Visibility
LiveNX 25.2 expands hybrid-cloud observability with:
- Azure VNET, VHUB and VWAN monitoring
- Support for Azure VNET
- Enhanced flow ingestion capacity
Why it matters: Granular traffic visibility in Azure ensures consistent policy enforcement and faster root-cause identification.
3. Remote Packet Capture Engine (RCE)
The RCE is now GA, enabling packet capture from thousands of windows desktops, fully integrated and managed by LiveWire.
Why it matters: Execute remote, targeted, or always-on capture at scale—improving remote site visibility, work from home users and tightening security investigations.
4. LiveNX Cold Standby High-Availability
To minimize downtime in case of hardware or software failure, LiveNX now supports failover to a secondary (standby) system that is powered on and ready, but not actively processing traffic or data until the primary LiveNX Server fails This is a multi-release joruney to get to a fully redundant system.*
Why it matters: Cost-effective redundancy ensures observability is never interrupted.
Unified Path to Network Intelligence
This release represents our vision of seamless observability across infrastructure, cloud, and security – empowering teams to move from troubleshooting to true intelligence.
The 25.2 release is available starting June 30, 2025.

*This release only supports configurations where a separate LiveNX node is used for data collection and storage. In other words, it won’t work if you’re using a single-server setup where the node and server are combined.
